Men's Soccer Falls at Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – With a Conference USA Tournament berth on the line, the DePaul men’s soccer dropped their regular season finale, 2-0, at Louisville on Saturday night. The Blue Demons end their season at 8-9-2 overall and 4-6-0 in C-USA action.
DePaul managed just six shots while the Cardinals tallied 16. DePaul keeper Michael Timlin was credited with four saves while Brad Sokolowski didn’t register a save.
Louisville scored a goal in each half as Justin Pierre found the back of the net at 20:55. The second half score for the Cardinals came via a header off a corner kick by Simon Bird in the 51st minute. Bryan Wells assisted both scores for Louisville.
The Blue Demons finish the season with the most wins since the 1996 squad won eight times. The four Conference USA victories are the most in the program’s history.
