Rebounding Keys Blue Demon Win Over Florida International

ROSEMONT, Ill. – DePaul scored 22-second chance points and beat Florida International 72-57 on Wednesday at the Allstate Arena.
The win improved DePaul to 5-1, it’s best start since the 1998-99 campaign.
Delonte Holland led the Blue Demons with a game-high 16 points while Andre Brown added 13, Sam Hoskin 11 and Joe Tulley 10 for the victors. FIU had three players lead with 10 points each.
DePaul out rebounded the Golden Panthers 33-26 (with 16 of those coming on the offensive end) and took advantage with the second chance points.

and were sparked by junior Chris Exilus who came off the bench to score seven points and provide steady play at the point guard and solid defense.
DePaul will travel to Philadelphia for a Saturday date with 6-0 St. Joseph’s (3:30 p.m. CST – Fox Sports Chicago) and will return to the Allstate Arena on December 28 to face Seton Hall.
