ROSEMONT, Ill. – Sam Hoskin and Quemont Greer led the offense and the entire DePaul team supplied the defense as the Blue Demons beat Seton Hall 52-41 on Saturday at the Allstate Arena.
The win improved DePaul to 6-2 overall while Seton Hall dropped to 3-4.
The 41 points was Seton Hall’s lowest output since a 59-40 loss at Notre Dame on March 3, 1983. It was also the third time this season that the Blue Demons have held an opponent to under 50 points.
Hoskin scored a team-high 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Quemont Greer had a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.
Seton Hall, which jumped out to a 7-0 lead to open the game and held DePaul scoreless until the 12:30 mark of the first half, shot just .263 from the floor (15-57) and was 3-23 from 3pt. range.
DePaul will be in action again on Tuesday when Western Carolina comes to the Allstate Arena for a 3 p.m. contest.
