CHICAGO – DePaul’s Wesley Green will undergo shoulder surgery and will miss the entire 2003-04 season it was announced today by Blue Demon head coach Dave Leitao.
“This is a very unfortunate situation for Wesley,” Leitao said. “We will provide Wesley with the opportunity to rehabilitate his shoulder with our medical and strength and conditioning staffs after the surgery is completed so he can prepare to be in top physical condition when the 2004-05 season begins.”
“I wanted to try and play through the pain but it just wasn’t possible,” Green said. “I am already looking forward to getting 100-percent healthy and returning even stronger next season.”
