Series

DePaul leads the series 35-17 and has won eight consecutive meetings between the two schools. The Blue Demons won the last contest (95-74) on January 2, 2003 at the Allstate Arena. Last season's game was the first between the two since the 1995-96 campaign. The last Loyola-Chicago victory came on January 21, 1989 (70-69) at the Chicago Amphitheater. This will be the first time DePaul has ever opened a season against Loyola-Chicago.

Coaches

DePaul’s Dave Leitao is kicking off his second season with the Blue Demons and is 16-13. Leitao is 38-48 in three seasons as a head coach and is 1-0 against Loyola-Chicago. Larry Farmer is in his sixth season at Loyola-Chicago and his 12th as a head coach. Farmer is 62-82 with the Ramblers and 157-159 overall. He is 2-4 all-time against the Blue Demons.

Tonight's game will be televised by Fox Sports Chicago with Eric Collins (play-by-play) and the award-winning David Kaplan (color commentary) handling the announcing chores.
