Volleyball Falls to Marquette at C-USA Tournament

“I am proud how we came out today, they played tough,” Head Coach Dawn Dockstader said. “We gave them a few points to start out each game and could never get them back which cost us the match”
The Blue Demons scored the first two points of the match but the Golden Eagles took over the game and ultimately pulled out the win, 24-30. Defensively Ellen Hayes recorded four digs.
DePaul came alive in game-two recording 15 team kills. The pair of Mandy Moorberg and Janet Goreham netted four kills apiece. DePaul went on a run late, holding the Golden Eagles at match point, for four points. However,
The Blue Demons looked alive after the break, fighting for every point, but the Golden Eagles took the game and the match 30-25.
DePaul tallied 41 kills and a .205 attack percentage. Moorberg lead the offense with 12 kills, while Lara Marks recorded a team high, .312 attack percentage. Seniors Marks, Janet Cotter and Meg Griffin tallied nine total blocks.
