DePaul leads the series 16-7. This is the first meeting between the two since March 10, 1999 - a 69-64 DePaul victory in the opening round of the NIT at the Allstate Arena. DePaul has won five of the six meetings between the two played in Rosemont. The last Northwestern win in the series came on December 6, 1997 by a score of 72-59 in Evanston. The last four meetings have been a split.
Coaches
DePaul’s Dave Leitao is kicking off his second season with the Blue Demons and is 17-13. Leitao is 39-48 in three seasons as a head coach and has never faced Northwestern. Bill Carmody is in his fourth season with the Wildcats and his eighth overall. He is 40-50 at Northwestern and 132-75 overall. Carmody has never faced the Blue Demons.
