Quotes
Coach Dave Leitao
“Obviously it was not the prettiest game to be apart of, but I have to remind myself that we are not promised wins and we have to take this win and build on it.”
“We had to make plays on both ends of the court towards the end of the game, and that is why we came away with the victory.”
“I am happy. We have the chance to ring the New Year in with a win and we have to get ready for the game on Saturday.”
“We had a terrific practice yesterday, but our shoot around this morning was a notch below that.”
Drake Diener
“Andre is our low post presence, now we have four guards playing and it has affected our offense which is making us run some different plays out there.”
“Today our offense was not as smooth as we liked it to be, because we wanted to get the ball moving side to side and we were not as consistent with that movement.”
“We were feeling pretty good being up 13-2, but we have given up like this before and it is really discouraging.”
“It was 46-46 and at the time it did not hit me that we have not scored in a while. I remember seeing that (the 46-46 score) earlier and they had a lot of opportunities to take the lead and they did at 48-46 but Delonte hit a three to go up one and that was big.”
Delonte Holland
“I have to play through it (on the high amount of turnovers) and a lot of guys depend on me and I have to step up and be a leader.”
“We knew we lost the last three games and we wanted to get a win today.”
