DePaul Divides To Conquer

CHICAGO – The women’s track and field team will split their roster between the Lewis Invitational and the Iowa State Track Classic this weekend.
Conflicting meets will send half the team to Romeoville at Lewis on Friday night while the other half will spend Friday and Saturday in Ames, Iowa.
Headed to Lewis are throwers Megan Greeley and Jeana LeRoy along with Jessica Karlin who will compete in the mile run. Shelley Knight and her sister Trina with Marissa Peterson will also be on the trip to run the 400-meter dash.
The competition will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the weight throw.
On the bus to Iowa State is the other half of the roster. Representing the throwers is Sue Stoffel who will contend in the weight throw. With her in Ames, Iowa will be sprinters Dee Moore, Kristil Nicholas, and Diana Runnels. Representing DePaul in the mile is Leah Rygh. High jumper Katie Sullivan will also compete while distance runners Marlene Key and Michelle Orfield will take on the 3000-meter run.
The events commence with the weight throw at 3:30 p.m.
