Blue Demons Set New Personal Bests

CHICAGO – The men’s track and field team set nine personal bests at the Lewis Friday Night Invitational and the Iowa State Track Classic this weekend.
The roster was split in half in order to represent DePaul at both of the events and the Blue Demons proved to be successful at both venues.
Highlighting the weekend was Larry Inanga, who set two personal bests and ran an extremely fast leg in the 4x400 meter relay. In the 200-meter dash, Inanga ran a 22.02 and then ran a 48.01 in the 400-meter dash.
Capturing a personal best in the 55-meter dash was Eric Harlan who clocked in at 7.11. Doug Bohr ran strong in the 400-meter dash and posted a time of 50.58. In the 600-yard run, Kai Murray set a new benchmark for himself at 1:14.40 while Mike Scafide raised the bar for himself in the 800-meter run after timing in at 1:55.68. Donnie Warner ran his best in the mile coming in at 4:22.14 and Luis Samayoa ran 8:34.49 in the 3000-meter run.
The Blue Demons set the second fastest time in DePaul history in the 4x400 relay when Siddiqu Muhammad, Rashard Deleston, Inanga, and Bohr combined for a time of 3:16.73.
