Fine Results For Track And Field

MILWAUKEE, Wis., - The men’s track and field team fared well at their last meet before the Conference USA Indoor Championships on Friday. Held at Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the Blue Demons had a chance to fine-tune their skills before next weekend.
Jamal Cornelious won the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.99 while Eric Harlan clocked a personal best in the race, finishing in 7.54.
Cornelius Sams ran the 60-meter hurdles when he came in at 8.83.
Webster Jones outdid himself when he set a new personal best in the triple jump with a distance of 12.79. Previously, Jones’ best was 12.32 meters that he scored at the Smith Barney Invitational.
For the throwers, the meet proved to be a perfect time to tweak their technique.
Jarrod Jahnke threw his way to first place and set a personal best when his efforts in the weight throw landed him at a distance of 16.76 meters.
The track and field team competes next at the C-USA Indoor Championships next weekend at Houston.
