Volleyball Falls to No. 21 Louisville

CHICAGO- DePaul junior Mandy Moorberg tallied 16 kills but it was not enough as the Blue Demons fell to No. 21 Louisville 3-1 (30-25, 19-30, 16-30, 26-30), Friday night at the DePaul Athletic Center. DePaul falls to 7-10 on the season and 0-1 in Conference
“We came out tonight on the offensive and played good volleyball,” DePaul head coach Dawn Dockstader said. “I am particularly pleased with the offensive performance of Amy Holmes. Amy brought a level of intensity tonight that was contagious and she was able to set the tone on the floor.”

Returning from the break the Blue Demons found themselves down 4-17 in the third game but went on a 7-3 run to pull within nine points. However, the deficit was too much to make-up and DePaul dropped game-three 30-16.
The Cardinals and Blue Demons swapped four lead changed and brushed off 12 tie scores before
DePaul sophomore libero Ellen Hayes led all players with 25 digs.
“Ellen put on a defensive clinic tonight,” Dockstader said. “She was fearless on the floor and was able to keep us in many rallies tonight.”
