Volleyball Travels to Milwaukee

CHICAGO- The DePaul volleyball team (10-13, 3-4 C-USA) will break from Conference USA action on Tuesday to face UW-Milwaukee (12-7, 7-1 Horizon League) at 7:00 p.m. in the Klotsche Center Addition (directions to the facility).
The Blue Demons come into Tuesday’s match after a perfect weekend in Conference USA, downing TCU, 3-2 on Friday and Houston 3-1 on Saturday. Senior middle blocker Janet Goreham recorded 30 kills for a .325 attack percentage and 19 total blocks during the weekend. She was one block assist away from recording her first triple-double of her career against Houston; she finished the match with 16 kills, 11 digs and nine block assists.
Sophomore libero Ellen Hayes recorded her second 30+ dig performance on Saturday, finishing with 32 digs against Houston. Hayes finished the weekend with 52 digs and averaged 5.78 digs per game.
UW-Milwaukee is off to a 12-7 start and is 7-1 in league play. The Panthers are tied for first place in the Horizon League and have won eight of their last nine matches. They are led by senior outside hitter Karen Fruit who is ranked 13th in the country averaging 5.22 kills per game.
Last season the Blue Demons dropped a five-game (19-30, 30-24, 30-18, 28-30, 16-14) match to the Panthers at the DePaul Athletic Center. UW-Milwaukee holds a 13-4 series advantage, with the Blue Demons last win coming in 2001.
DePaul will return to C-USA action this weekend, visiting Saint Louis on Friday and Memphis on Saturday, both matches are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
