CHICAGO – DePaul’s Quemont Greer will miss both exhibition games and the first two contests of the 2004-05 regular season for failure to meet University academic requirements for the fall quarter it was announced today by Blue Demon Head Coach Dave Leitao.
Greer, a 6-7 senior forward from Milwaukee, averaged 12.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game last season. He finished seventh in Conference USA in rebounding, tied for 14th in blocked shots and 21st in scoring. Greer was also named to the C-USA All-Tournament team a year ago.
DePaul opens the 2004-05 season with a pair of exhibition games as the Blue Demons face St. Xavier on November 4 and St. Edwards (Texas) on November 13. Both contests will be at the DePaul Athletic Center. The regular season opener is slated for November 20 when Bowling Green State comes to the Allstate Arena at 1 p.m. The Blue Demons’ second regular season game is on November 23 against Eastern Illinois at the Allstate Arena.
