Men's Soccer Loses Road Match

DES MOINES, Iowa – A second-half goal by Jess Richey was enough for the Drake Bulldogs on Saturday night over the visiting DePaul Blue Demons. DePaul totaled five shots in the match while the Bulldogs had 13 attempts.
Following a scoreless first half that saw all five Blue Demon shots, Drake (4-4-0) put on the pressure in the second period outshooting DePaul, 11-0.
Drake took the lead when Keith Gorczyca crossed a ball over to Richey who headed it in at 53:38 for his fourth goal of the year.
DePaul (2-6-2) finished the match with a 4-3 advantage on corner kicks while goalkeeper Michael Timlin made four second-half saves.
The Blue Demons travel to Saint Louis for a Conference USA match on Wednesday evening. DePaul takes on the Billikens at 7 p.m. at Robert R. Hermann Stadium in St. Louis, Mo.
