DePaul-WSCR Continue Partnership

CHICAGO – DePaul will continue to have its basketball games broadcast on WSCR (670 AM) in Chicago for the next three years it was announced today by Blue Demon Athletic Director Jean Lenti Ponsetto and WSCR Program Director Mitch Rosen.
“We are pleased to be able to continue our partnership with WSCR,” Ponsetto said. “The Score is committed to providing the best coverage of Chicago’s sports teams and we are happy to be a part of that impressive resume.”
“It is a natural fit, DePaul is Chicago’s college basketball team and The Score is the home to Chicago sports radio,” Rosen said. “With the Blue Demons’ entry into the BIG EAST Conference, we are pleased to be able to broadcast games from the best college basketball league in the nation.”
In addition to broadcasting the Blue Demons, new head coach Jerry Wainwright will appear on the Mike North Morning Show every Thursday at 9:40 a.m. Wainwright will also have a weekly one-hour call-in show which will begin in January. The night and host of that show will be announced at a later date.
WSCR, which has been the radio home for DePaul basketball since the 1997-98 season, is also the radio home to the World Champion Chicago White Sox and Blackhawks.
DePaul opens the 2005-06 season, and the Jerry Wainwright era, on November 19 when it hosts Bradley at the Allstate Arena. Game time is 1 p.m.
