Blue Demons Stumble Against Rutgers

CHICAGO – Aly Zavitz, Morgan Ingersoll and Cristina Correa all finished with double-digit kills, but it was not enough as the Blue Demons dropped a 3-0 (30-19, 30-28, 30-2) BIG EAST Conference match to Rutgers Saturday at the DePaul Athletic Center.
The Scarlet Knight's offense came up big in the three game set and finished with a .328 attack percentage.

The second game proved to be tightest as there were six lead changes and the score was knotted 15 times. Tied at 27, the Blue Demons registered three attack errors to allow
Game three saw
Zavitz led the Blue Demons with 11 kills, while Ingersoll and Correa each chipped in 10 kills. Freshman libero Maureen Zigulich lead DePaul's defensive efforts, tallying 11 digs. Zigulich also registered two kills.
The Blue Demons close out the season Sunday hosting Villanova at 2:00 p.m. DePaul will also celebrate Senior Day and honor outside hitter Mandy Moorberg and manager Kyle Sheahan.
