Volleyball Falls to Pittsburgh

The Panthers hit .357 for the match and had four players, Gini Ullery, Allie Cherven, Ashley Creighton and Diana Andreyko, finish with attack percentages over .300. Pitt totaled 55 kills and just 15 errors in 112 attacks, while holding the Blue Demons to a .116 attack percentage and 39 kills.
Andreyko led all players, registering 16 kills for a .481 attack percentage; she also chipped in six digs. Ullery followed and added 13 kills, seven digs and four blocks for the Panthers.
Pitt jumped out early in game one, taking the first point and never looked back winning the first set 30-25.
The Blue Demons kept the second game close as the score was tied 12 times and the lead exchanged hands three times. Tied at 12, Pitt strung together a 6-2 run to pull the game out of reach and eventually won 30-24.
The Panthers took game three 30-20.
DePaul was led by senior outside hitter Mandy Moorberg, who finished with 14 kills and seven digs. Defensively, freshman libero Maureen Zigulich notched nine digs; while middle blockers Stacy Pando and Denae Gibson each tallied four total blocks.
DePaul will be return to the court on Sunday to play
