The Records
DePaul is 2-3 after losing to Bucknell 57-52 on Saturday at the Allstate Arena. UAB is 3-1 after beating Nebraska 73-72 on Saturday in Lincoln, Neb.
The Series
DePaul leads the all-time series 18-13. UAB won both meetings last season – 81-80 in overtime in Birmingham and 59-56 in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA Tournament in Memphis. DePaul took the last meeting in Rosemont, 75-64 on January 17, 2004. Current streak: UAB - 2.
The Last Meeting
Demario Eddins hit a three-pointer from the left corner with 0.8 seconds left as UAB rallied to defeat DePaul 59-56 in the quarterfinal round of the Kelly Tires Conference USA Tournament at the Fed Ex Forum in Memphis, Tenn. on March 10, 2005. Quemont Greer led DePaul with 17 points and nine rebounds while Eddins and Donell Taylor each had 11 to lead the Blazers.
The Coaches
Jerry Wainwright is in his first season at DePaul and his 12th as a head coach. He is 188-147 overall and 2-3 with the Blue Demons. Wainwright is 2-1 against the Blazers. Mike Anderson is in his fourth season as a head coach, all at UAB. His career record is 68-35 and he is 3-2 against the Blue Demons.
