Burns Sparks Men's Basketball Past UAB

Karron Clarke and Sammy Mejia both added 15 points for DePaul, which beat its former conference rival.
The win evened DePaul’s record at 3-3 while the Blazers dropped to 3-2.
Trailing 38-31 with 16:06 left in the game, DePaul responded with a 18-6 run. Burns hit two threes and Clarke converted one of his two three-point plays during the span to put DePaul up 49-44 with 10:22 left.
Freshman Wilson Chandler had a steal off of Demario Eddins with 46 seconds to go, and Burns hit a jumper with 18.6 seconds left to secure the win for DePaul.
Wen Mukubu scored 14 points for UAB, and Eddins and Marvett McDonald both ended with 13 points.

The Blazers made 7-of-11 from 3-point range in the first half and led 31-26. Eddins, McDonald and Richard Jones all scored six points for UAB in the half.
