Volleyball Beats Loyola-Chicago in Four Games

CHICAGOÂ --Â Morgan Ingersoll posted 20 kills as DePaul stopped Loyola-Chicago 3-1 (30-26, 27-30, 30-24, 30-23) in the final match of the Chicagoland Challenge on Saturday night at the DePaul Athletic Center.
Ingersoll's 20 kills were a season high for the junior from Chicago as the Blue Demons improved to 2-6 on the young season.
"We needed to get a win and I am happy that our performance was good enough to get one tonight" DePaul head coach Dawn Dockstader said. "This was a nice way to end the tournament portion of the season and now we have to take this momentum into the Western Illinois match on Tuesday."
DePaul also got 17 kills from senior Mandy Moorberg while sophomore setter Mandi Caputo handed out a match-high 50 assists. Redshirt freshman Maureen Zigulich had 13 digs from her libero position while junior Ellen Hayes added 13.
Loyola, which fell to 0-7, had 15 kills from Melissa Craig.
