Volleyball Falls to Seton Hall

Seton Hall did not allow the Blue Demons to get their offence going, holding DePaul to a .067 attack percentage for the match. Freshman middle blocker Cristina Correa led DePaul with nine kills and freshman setter Mandi Caputo dished out 30 assists. Caputo also led the offense with a .308 (5-1-13) attack percentage.
The Pirates jumped out to a 12-7 lead in game one, but the Blue Demons battled back to tie the game at 14 and eventually took a 18-14 lead. Errors stymied DePaul's offense, allowing the Pirates to chip away at the lead, and ultimately won game one on Blue Demon attack error.
DePaul hit .217 as a team in game two, but the Pirates hit .333 to take the game. Blue Demon freshman Caitlin Callaghan led the offensive charge with five kills for a .444 attack percentage. Tied at 15, the Pirates went on a 10-4 run to put game two out of reach for the Blue Demons. Seton Hall won game two, 30-27.
The Blue Demons found themselves down 12-1 in game three, but sophomore middle blocker Stacy Pando served up seven straight points to pull the Blue Demons within four. DePaul pulled within two points, but Seton Hall's controlled the final game, winning 30-21.
Seton Hall's Tricia Meyers lead all players with 13 kills and a .632 attack percentage.
