Track and Field to Face Best of the BIG EAST

CHICAGO- The DePaul track and field squads join the next generation of BIG EAST Indoor Championship competition this weekend at the
DePaul has 26 athletes slotted to compete in 19 events during the weekend, beginning with school record holder Lindsey Deason in the women’s pentathlon Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
Freshman Gabe Harris is scheduled for the men’s 400m dash trials Saturday at 2:15 p.m. Harris set a team-best time of 46.87 at the Notre Dame Open, which still stands as the second-best 400m time in the BIG EAST this season and the 14th best time in the nation.
The Blue Demons also look to post solid performances in the women’s weight throw Saturday at 3:15 p.m. Junior Jamie Holifield holds the ninth best mark in the conference with her 16.72m throw at
The Blue Demons will also compete in men’s 60m hurdles, men’s 60m dash, women’s 500m run, men’s and women’s 400m dash, men’s and women’s 200m dash, men’s mile run, women’s distance medley relay, women’s shot put, men’s and women’s high jump, men’s 3,000m run, men’s and women’s 4x800m relay, and men’s and women’s 4x400m relay.
