DePaul Hosts Chicago State

CHICAGO The DePaul volleyball team welcomes Chicago State to McGrath Arena for a 7 p.m. match tonight. The Blue Demons look to get back to their winning ways after dropping their last three matches.
Tonight's match is the tenth meeting between the Blue Demons and Cougars with DePaul holding a perfect 9-0 record in the series. In the nine previous meetings, the Blue Demons have swept the match seven times while Chicago State has won just three games in the series.
Seniors Stacy Pando and Maureen Zigulich contributed to the Blue Demon's 3-0 victory over Chicago State in 2006. Pando registered five kills and four service aces, while Zigulich chipped in a team-high 19 digs. This season Pando has seen action in 14 matches while Zigulich has tallied 156 digs.
Chicago State (4-19) enters today on a three-match winning streak after starting the season 1-19. The Cougars are led by middle blocker Jessica Khouri, who averages 2.27 kills per game and a .129 attack percentage.
The Blue Demons (5-16) hit the road for the final time this season as they travel to BIG EAST Conference rivals No. 23 St. John's and Connecticut on Oct. 26 and Oct. 28, respectively. Friday's match with the Red Storm is slated to begin at 6 p.m. (CST) while Sunday's first serve is scheduled for noon.
