The Records
Friday is the opening game of the 2007-08 regular season for both teams. DePaul won its only exhibition game beating Trinity Christian, 83-56, on Friday at McGrath Arena. Creighton beat the EA Sports All-Stars, 88-75, in its only exhibition game on Thursday, November 1 at the Qwest Center.
The Series
DePaul leads the series 15-5. The Blue Demons have won three straight including the last meeting, 72-57, at the Allstate Arena on November 30, 2005. The last Bluejay win in the series was a 74-61 triumph on February 17, 1986 in Omaha which was also the last time DePaul played here. Current streak: DePaul 3.
The Last Meeting
Wilson Chandler scored 17 points and had eight rebounds while Sammy Mejia added 15 points, six rebounds and five assists as DePaul beat Creighton, 72-57, on November 30, 2005 at the Allstate Arena. Anthony Tolliver led the Bluejays with 17 points.
The Coaches
Jerry Wainwright is beginning his third season as the head coach at DePaul. He is 218-173 overall and 32-29 with the Blue Demons. Wainwright is 1-0 against the Bluejays.
