The Records
DePaul is 2-7 after falling to No. 15/15 Clemson, 90-74, on Friday in the second game of the San Juan Shootout. La Salle is 4-5 after losing against Mississippi, 84-77, in its second San Juan Shootout contest on Friday. The Explorers opened the tournament with a 117-85 win over Puerto Rico-Mayaguez while DePaul dropped a 69-63 decision against Ole Miss.

DePaul leads the all-time series 6-2. The Explorers won the last meeting, 83-62, on December 2, 1989 at the Rosemont Horizon. The last DePaul victory (58-54) in the series came on January 31, 1987 in Philadelphia. Current streak: La Salle 1.
The Last Meeting
Lionel Simmons scored 26 points and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds while Doug Overton added 20 points as La Salle beat DePaul, 83-62, on December 2, 1989 at the Rosemont Horizon. DePaul was led by Stephen Howard’s 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Jerry Wainwright is in his 14th season as a collegiate head coach and his third at DePaul. He is 220-182 overall and 34-36 with the Blue Demons.
