Draelon Burns Named BIG EAST Conference Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, RI DePaul’s Draelon Burns was named the BIG EAST Conference Player of the Week the league announced today.
Burns scored 32 points for the second consecutive game in DePaul’s 85-70 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday at the Allstate Arena. He was 11-for-13 from the field and a school-record 8-for-8 from 3-point range. Burns also became the fifth player in school history, and the first since 1994, to score 32 or more points in consecutive games. Burns also had 32 points against North Carolina A&T on November 24.
The Blue Demons are in action again on Saturday when they travel to Lawrence, Kan. to face third-ranked Kansas at 1 p.m. on ESPN and WSCR (670 AM).
