Hey Blue Demon Fans!

I hope everyone had a fun week!  DePaul is full of election craziness since the election is only a week away!  It is really important for everyone to exercise their right to vote, especially with the current events going on.  We actually have a match on Election Day, but I’m sure everyone will still find time to vote.

We played Chicago State last Tuesday on the Southside.  We won in three sets and then headed back to DePaul to get ready for the conference weekend.  We left Chicago on Friday morning for Philadelphia.  Once we arrived in Philadelphia, we drove to Seton Hall in Newark, New Jersey.  We practiced in Seton Hall’s gym on Friday night in order to prepare ourselves for our match against them on Saturday at noon. 

After the match on Saturday we gathered our things and left for Villanova.  The drive was only about two hours, and we arrived in Philadelphia on Saturday evening.  Villanova’s campus was very pretty, especially in this time of year with all the color changes in the leaves.

We played Villanova on Sunday afternoon, but unfortunately lost in close four set match.  We left for the airport right after the match so we could head back to Chicago. 

Once we got to the airport, we found out that our flight was delayed about three hours!  The wind in Chicago was bad, so they did not want to take off until a little later.  Luckily we all had a lot of homework to get done for Monday, so that kept us busy. 

We have practice this week to get ready for the conference weekend coming up.  We play at home in the McGrath Arena on Nov. 1 and Nov. 2.  The match on Saturday is versus Marquette, and on Sunday we play Syracuse.  Both matches are at 2 p.m. and we would love to have a lot of fans!
