CHICAGO DePaul head volleyball coach Amy Hardison announced today that Chandler Carney (Indianapolis, Ind./ Lawrence North High School) signed a National Letter of Intent and will enroll at DePaul for the 2009-10 school year.
“I am very excited to have Chandler join the Blue Demon family,” Hardison said. Chandler will bring consistent all-around play for us both in the front and back row. She has a strong work ethic and wants to be successful both on and off the court. Chandler is going to be a great addition to our program and we are all very excited to have her.”
Carney, a 6-1 outside hitter, joins the Blue Demons after being named Lawrence North High School’s best offensive player in 2008. An all-conference and all-county player, Carney plays club ball for Team Indiana.
The Blue Demons (7-22, 4-10 BIG EAST) closed out their 2008 season with an exciting 3-1 win over the BIG EAST Conference’s Regular Season Champion, St. John’s on Nov. 16.
