Quigley Named to BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll

CHICAGO - For the second consecutive week, DePaul junior guard Sam Quigley has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll it was announced today by the league office.

Quigley earned Duel in the Desert MVP accolades after helping the Blue Demons to the tournament title last week with an 82-48 win over host UNLV on Monday, Dec. 21.  Against UNLV the guard tallied 17 points while she tied a career-high with seven assists.

During the three-day Duel in the Desert tournament (Dec. 19-21) Quigley registered 43 points, while she dished out 15 assists, grabbed 11 rebounds and had four steals.  The guard was on the floor for all but seven minutes in DePaul's wins over Arkansas, then-No. 10/6 Florida State and UNLV.

Connecticut's Maya Moore was named the conference's Player of the Week while Georgetown guard Sugar Rodgers earned Freshman of the Week honors.

The Blue Demons play Illinois State tonight in Bloomington at 7 p.m.
