DePaul's Mac Koshwal Enters Name Into NBA Draft

CHICAGO DePaul University announced today that sophomore Mac Koshwal has submitted the necessary paperwork to enter his name in the 2009 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-10, 255-pound forward/center has not hired an agent and can return for his junior year next season.
In 58 career games over two seasons, Koshwal has averaged 12.0 points and 9.1 rebounds while starting 56 times. He has totaled 16 double-doubles and 42 career games in double-figures. Koshwal is ranked among DePaul’s all-time leaders in rebounding average (t11th - 9.1 rpg) and field goal percentage (t12th - .514).
Koshwal averaged 12.2 points and 9.6 rebounds in 2008-09 with 11 double-doubles. He posted a career-high 26 points along with 11 rebounds against Notre Dame on Dec. 31 and his career-high 22 rebounds against Creighton on Dec. 23 are tied for fifth on DePaul’s single-game chart. As a freshman, he picked up BIG EAST All-Rookie recognition after averaging 10.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
Koshwal is currently enrolled in classes for DePaul’s Spring quarter and has until June 15 to withdraw his name from the draft. The 2009 NBA Draft is scheduled for Thursday, June 24 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
