Volleyball Completes 2009 Signing Class

CHICAGO -- DePaul head volleyball coach Amy Hardison announced today that Chelsea Thurlby has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Blue Demons for their upcoming 2009 season.

A standout from Naperville Central’s 2007 IHSA 4A State Championship team, Thurlby is a highly touted libero from Chicago’s Sports Performance Club. 

“I am very excited to have Chelsea help take our back court game to the next level. She has a really great touch on the ball defensively and reads well.  She will have an immediate impact on our defense,” Hardison said of her latest addition to her 2009 class.

Thurlby completes DePaul’s 2009 class; while she joins Chandler Carney and Rachel Aumann, who signed NLIs earlier this year.

The Blue Demons begin their 2009 campaign at the Central Florida Tournament Aug. 28-29.
