Volleyball Teams Up With The Side-Out Foundation

CHICAGO-On Saturday, Oct. 30 the DePaul Volleyball team is teaming up with the Side-Out Foundation to host a Dig Pink match at McGrath Arena at 2 p.m. The goal of the volleyball match is to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.
All fans are encouraged to wear pink to show support for breast cancer research. Fans can donate 15 dollars and receive a DePaul t-shirt, at the match, while supplies last. DePaul is also hosting an online auction that will include six pink volleyball jerseys, 10 pink soccer jerseys and a pink volleyball. In addition all students in attendance will receive pink sunglasses.
During the intermission fans will have the opportunity to donate 10 inches of their own lovely locks to Locks of Love. Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. All who donate will receive an immediate complimentary hairstyling from Salon V.
The Side-Out Foundation was established in 2004 by a group of individuals drawn together by their love of volleyball, but who also share a similar passion to be a part of the war against breast cancer. The Side-Out Foundation's mission is to raise money for the battle against breast cancer through the recreational activity.
