
The Blue Demons fall to the Bearcats

CINCINNATI- The DePaul Volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-20) BIG EAST Conference match to Cincinnati Friday night. The Blue Demons fall to 1-17 and 0-5 in league action while the Bearcats improve to 16-3, 5-0 in the BIG EAST.
The Blue Demons were unable to find an offensive rhythm in the first set and totaled eight kills. The 21st ranked Bearcats were able to use .567(17-0-30) to control the first set. The Cincinnati won the set 25-11.
The second set started with the Blue Demons and the Bearcats trading points to a tie at four. From there the Bearcats went on a 13-4 run that gave them the lead until they closed the set out at 25-14.
In the third set, the Blue demons came out with more energy and where able to take an early 8-7 lead. The Bearcats where able to take the lead and began to pull away when they had a 12-11 advantage. Cincinnati used its .442 (23-4-43) attack percentage in the third set to win the match 25-20.
The Blue Demons play Louisville on Sunday at 1 p.m.
