
DePaul Struggles in Match

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The DePaul volleyball team dropped a BIG EAST Conference match to Seton Hall, 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-18) on Saturday. The Blue Demons fall to 4-25 (1-12 BIG EAST) while the Pirates improve to 13-16 (7-6 BIG EAST).
Stephanie Rountree led the team defensively contributing eight digs and Kate Letcher provided seven kills.
Unable to find an offensive rhythm in the first set, the Blue Demons tallied eight kills and hit a dismal -.029 team attack percentage. Seton Hall won the set 25-14.
With the Blue Demons still struggling offensively, the Pirates collected 16 kills and a .400 team attack percentage in the 25-16 second set victory.
After the intermission, the Blue Demons fell behind early and were forced to take a timeout with the score at 10-4 in favor of Seton Hall. The Blue Demons hit a .320 team attack percentage but came up short and dropped the set 25-18 to the Pirates.
DePaul finishes the regular season tomorrow with a match against Rutgers.
