CHICAGO - DePaul plays its third and final game of the regular season at McGrath-Phillips Arena on Saturday when the Blue Demons host Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Blue Demons currently hold a three-game winning streak and face the Golden Lions at 7 p.m. in Lincoln Park. DePaul finishes the non-conference schedule against Cal Poly on Dec. 21 at Allstate Arena.
The Blue Demons and Golden Lions meet for the first time Saturday night and all of the action can be heard on WSCR 670 The Score with Zach Zaidman (play-by-play) and Jeff Blanzy (analyst) providing the audio description. Following the Arkansas-Pine Bluff game, DePaul plays its final non-conference game on Wednesday against Cal Poly. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start at Allstate Arena in Rosemont. The game can be heard on WSCR 670 The Score with Zaidman and Laurence Holmes on the call. DePaul begins BIG EAST play on Sunday, Jan. 1 when current No. 1-ranked Syracuse visits Rosemont for a 4 p.m. start.
Noting the Blue Demons: The men's basketball program is 1,379-864 (.615) all-time... the Blue Demons have knocked down at least one three-pointer in 558 straight games... DePaul's last game without a three was Feb. 16, 1993 against UAB at Allstate Arena... the Blue Demons are 308-134 (.697) all-time in Rosemont... DePaul is 5-1 (.833) all-time in games at McGrath-Phillips Arena.
The Opponent - Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions: Arkansas-Pine Bluff enters Saturday's game at 1-7... the Golden Lions dropped an 87-64 decision at Akron on Thursday night... Salavace Townsend leads the team with 18.4 points per game... Lazabian Jackson adds a 10.2 scoring average while Mitchell Anderson averages 7.8 points per game and a team-high 6.1 rebounds per outing... head coach George Ivory is in his fourth season leading the Arkansas-Pine Bluff program.

It Could Happen: A win will give DePaul its best start since beginning the 2004-05 season with an 8-3 record... since 2000, only two teams have started the season with eight victories over the first 11 games... a win would also be No. 1,380 in program history... a win would secure a four-game winning streak for the first time since starting the 2008-09 season with four straight wins... Demon Doings: Notes following DePaul's 75-52 win at Northern Illinois on Dec. 14:
- DePaul's 7-3 start is the best record through the first 10 game since the 2004-05 season... the team also started with a 7-3 record.
- The 23-point margin of victory was the largest in a road game since a 60-37 win at Rutgers on Jan. 13, 2007.

Around the Area: DePaul concluded a three-game stretch against opponents from Chicagoland at Northern Illinois on Dec. 14. The Blue Demons opened the stretch on Dec. 7 at Loyola-Chicago with a 69-58 win at Gentile Arena. On Dec. 10 at Allstate Arena, DePaul knocked off Chicago State by a 102-95 score.
The Blue Demons currently hold a seven-game winning streak against local programs that includes victories over Chicago State, UIC, Loyola and Northern Illinois. In each of Oliver Purnell's two seasons at DePaul, the Blue Demons have faced three Chicagoland opponents during the non-conference portion of the schedule with wins in each meeting. This season also featured DePaul playing a pair of local road games at Loyola and Northern Illinois.
