DePaul Announces 2011 Volleyball Camps

CHICAGO- Come join the DePaul volleyball team and Head Coach Nadia Edwards, as they host a Specialized Skill Camp on July 9 and 10 as well as an All Skills Camp on July 16-17. DePaul will also be hosting a High School Skills Camp on July 23-24. Members of the 2011 Blue Demon team will be in attendance to direct drills and talk about the experience of being a Division I student-athlete.
The Specialized Skill Camp
The Specialized Skill Camp will offer the opportunity for campers to focus on skills specific to their position. Campers may choose from passing/defense, setting or attacking. Campers can sign up for either the July 9 or the July 10 camp for $90 or participate on both dates for $160. A camp T-shirt and lunch is included. Located in the McGrath Arena, the camp is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. and concluded at 4:00 p.m.
The All Skills Camp
The All Skills Camp will offer the opportunity for campers to work on each of the six volleyball skills (serving, setting, hitting, blocking, passing and defense) Each camper will also learn how the skills fit into volleyball offensive/defensive systems and game play. The two day camp runs from July 16-17 and is located in the McGrath Arena. The first day will last from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the second day will last from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Cost of the camp is $185 and includes a camp T-Shirt as well as meals.
High School All Skills Camp
The High School All Skills Camp is geared for campers entering 9th through 12th grade in anticipation for their high school season. The camp offers opportunities to receive focused train on each of the six volleyball skills (serving, setting, hitting, blocking, passing and defense) and game play. The two day camp runs from July 23-24 and is located in the McGrath Arena. The first day will last from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the second day will last from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Cost of the camp is $185 and includes a camp T-Shirt as well as meals.
2011 Satellite Camps
In addition to the camps that DePaul is hosting at McGrath Arena, the DePaul University women's volleyball coaches are offering an opportunity to come to your school and train student-athletes. There are two options, a two day camp with four sessions at 60 dollars per-athlete and a three day camp with six sessions for 90 dollars per-athlete. Grade schools have the opportunity to schedule the camp in the month of May and high schools have the opportunity to schedule in the month of June.
