Track Finished Day One of Meyo Invitational

Stephanie Hughes was the first to represent the Blue Demons at the Meyo Ivitational.

South Bend, Ind.- At day one of the Meyo Inviatational, the DePaul men's and women's track and field team competed in five events. This is the largest meet of the season, including 26 teams on the men's side and 47 on the women's side.

Stephanie Hughes was the first to represent the Blue Demons. Hughes ran in the 5,000m and had a career-best time of 17:43.66. Also representing the women, Kelcie Daniels finished in 11th with a BIG EAST Qualify time and a career-best time of 1:17.24 in the 500m Dash.

On the men's side, Chris Kyles ran a BIG EAST Qualify time to finish 13th in the 60m dash. In the 500m dash, Edin Pasalic finished in third and ran a BIG EAST Qualify time of 1:04.29.

The Meyo Inviatational resumes tomorrow morning, beginning at 9 a.m.
