Fraser and Nedow lead DePaul

CHICAGO- The DePaul men's and women's track and field teams finished competition at the Stan Lyons Invitationl this Saturday. Tim Nedow and Melissa Fraser led the Blue Demons; each claimed two first place finishes.
In the women's hammer throw, Fraser finished is first with a toss of 55.73m. Fraser threw a season-best distance of 51.74m to capture first in the Javelin. Alanna Kovacs also competed in the Javelin and finished second with a throw of 46.38m and she finished in third in the discus.
Also competing for the women, Lindsey Holden and Elizabeth Jefferson each ran in the 400m dash. Holden finished in second with her second-best time of the season, 56.25 and Jefferson finished with a season-best time of 56.87.
Nedow competed in the shot put and the discus. Nedow threw a distance of 52.43m in the discus to finish in first and also finished first in the shot put with a toss of 18.33m. His first-place toss in the shot put is a season-best.
In the men's 400m dash, Tonderai Tomu finished in first with a season-best time of 47.57. Edin Pasalic also ran a season-best time of 48.05 to place fourth.
The Blue Demons return to competition next weekend, for the BIG EAST Conference Championships.
