KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- After wrapping up its 2014 season earlier this month, the DePaul men's soccer team received its seventh-straight academic honor from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America on Monday afternoon.
Each year the NSCAA recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the field. A total of 279 men's soccer teams posted a team grade-point average of 3.0, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year.
The Blue Demons posted a team GPA of 3.34 to claim the award, which runs one school year behind. The 2014-15 NSCAA Team Academic Award will be announced next November.
