DePaul Stumbles at Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State came out of the gates quickly and didn't look back as the Beavers led from start to finish in a 90-59 loss for DePaul on Thursday night. The home team shot .545 from the field while the Blue Demons shot a season-low .340 in the game.
Oregon State (8-2) was led early by Olaf Schaftenaar as he scored 11 of the first 13 points for the Beavers. His 11th point came via a free throw to complete a three-point play that gave Oregon State a 13-6 lead with 15:47 left in the first half.
DePaul pulled to within nine points on a layup by Darrick Wood with just under seven minutes left, but Oregon State answered with 11 straight points to put the game out of reach. The Beavers led 48-28 at halftime.
Jamee Crockett scored 14 points to lead DePaul (6-4). He was the lone player in double-figures for the Blue Demons. Myke Henry added nine points and four rebounds while Tommy Hamilton IV finished with seven points and seven boards.
Victor Robbins led Oregon State with 27 points and Schaftenaar finished with 21 points.
DePaul continues its road trip next week with three games at the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu. The Blue Demons open the eight-team tournament on Monday against Colorado. The game can be seen on ESPNU at 3:30 p.m. CT
Postgame Notes: DePaul leads the series, 2-1... against the current lineup of Pac-12 programs, the Blue Demons are 28-30 all-time... the Blue Demons posted season lows in both field goal percentage and three-point field goal percentage... Myke Henry was held to less than 10 points for the first time this season... Billy Garrett Jr. passed the 500-point plateau... he entered the game needing two points to reach the milestone.
