Megally All-BIG EAST Second Team, Scheper All-Freshman Team

CHICAGO - Just 24 hours after DePaul clinched its first BIG EAST Championship berth in four years, the men's soccer team received some more good news.
Junior forward Simon Megally was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team in a vote by the leagues' coaches and forward-midfielder Jake Scheper was voted onto the All-BIG EAST Freshman Team on Friday.
Megally had three assists in Thursday's 3-0 victory over Marquette that clinched a playoff spot. He leads the Blue Demons in goals with six and points with 15. In BIG EAST play, Megally has three goals and three assists for nine points.
In his first season, Scheper is third on the team in points with eight and tied for third in goals with three. In conference action, Scheper has three goals and one assist for seven points.
DePaul is the No. 5 tournament seed and will take on No. 4 seed Xavier at 3:05 p.m. Sunday in a BIG EAST playoff opener that will be broadcast by the BIG EAST Digital Network. The Blue Demons will be challenged by Xavier's BIG EAST Co-Goalkeeper of the Year Dallas Jaye.
