Illinois Twilight Up Next for Track and Field

CHICAGO -- The DePaul track and field team will participate in its fifth meet of the outdoor season this Saturday when the squad travels to Champaign, Ill., for the Illinois Twilight.
The meet begins with field events at 12 p.m.
Saturday will not be DePaul's only action of the weekend, however. Prior to Sunday's DePaul softball game against Creighton, scheduled for 11 a.m. at Cacciatore Stadium, the Blue Demons' 12 track and field senior will be recognized for Senior Day.
DePaul is coming off a strong weekend at the Sun Angel Classic and Chicagoland Championships. Matt Babicz won the shot put in Tempe and Jackie Kasal took the 800. Bailey Dell also won the javelin throw at the Sun Angel Classic.
At the Chicagoland Championships, Paige Skorseth, Shayna Nwokenkwo and Courtney Tedeschi captured individual races on the track.
The Illinois Twilight will last the entire day Saturday; it comes just one week before the highly anticipated Drake Relays.
