DePaul Hoops Touches Down in Paris, Travels to Caen

CAEN, France - Day one of DePaul's tour of France featured an overnight flight followed by a bus ride to its first stop on the tour in Caen. The Blue Demons are following the footsteps of St. Vincent de Paul and will play four games starting Wednesday night.
A final practice in Chicago on Monday morning led to a pre-trip meal on the way to the airport. DePaul's evening flight left on time at 6 p.m. for Paris and the players were able to stretch out during the flight as the plane wasn't quite full.
The overnight flight landed just before 9 a.m. local time in Paris and the travel party met Fr. Ed Udovic and boarded the bus with drive Joop Timmers for the trip to Caen. En route to Caen, a stop in Rouen for lunch also allowed the team to visit the Rouen Cathedral, the Gros Horloge - a 14th-century astronomical clock - and the site of Joan of Arc's execution in 1431.
DePaul's travel party arrived in Caen in the late afternoon and gathered for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Tomorrow's Itinerary: A full day is ahead on Wednesday as the team plays the first game of the tour. The travel party is scheduled to visit Mont St. Michel in the first half of the day before traveling to Avranches to face Caen Calvados. Caen Calvados plays in the French NM1 League.

The stream will be very simple with no announcers or graphics. In addition to the live stream, extensive coverage of the games and the entire trip will be available on DePaul's social media outlets.
