Men's Soccer Earns Eighth-Straight NSCAA Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The DePaul men's soccer team received its eighth consecutive academic honor from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) on Wednesday.
The NSCAA annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the field.
There were 305 men's soccer teams that posted a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher in earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year.
The Demons finished the academic year with a 3.42 team GPA. This is the 11th time DePaul has been recognized with the award since 2003.
A total of 859 collegiate soccer teams (305 men, 554 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher in earning the NSCAA College Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year.
DePaul was one of 208 schools that had both their men's and women's programs recognized.
The Blue Demons open BIG EAST Conference play at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wish Field against a talented Xavier team that is receiving votes in the NSCAA National Poll. The match will be shown live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
