CHICAGO -- In the span of 1 minute and 17 seconds, things got away from the DePaul Blue Demons Tuesday night at Loyola Soccer Park.
That's when the Ramblers scored twice en route to knocking off DePaul 3-0 in the renewal of this North Side soccer rivalry.
DePaul (1-8-0) had kept the zero for 64 minutes in the face of a patient Loyola attack.
But in the 65th minute, Fabian Lifka hit the post on a shot and Brody Kraussel cleaned up the rebound for a 1-0 lead.
Then came those fateful 77 seconds when Loyola (4-3-2) put this one away.
It began with Connor Stevenson's touch into the box that Ryan Walker one-timed into the near post from 10 yards out in the 76th minute.
In the 77th minute, Kraussel played the ball to Walker whose low cross was tapped in by Stevenson.
Next up for DePaul is a 7 p.m. Saturday road match against No. 1/1 Creighton at Morrison Stadium.
