DePaul Hosts UIC at McGrath-Phillips Arena

CHICAGO - DePaul plays its final game of the regular season at McGrath-Phillips Arena on Wednesday when UIC makes the short trip to Lincoln Park. The Blue Demons are 2-0 at the on-campus facility this season with start time scheduled for 7 p.m. against the Flames.
Wednesday's game will be televised on FS1 with Jeff Levering (play-by-play) and Dickey Simpkins (analyst) handling the television duties. The game can also be seen online and on mobile devices via FOX Sports Go. DePaul's radio tandem of Zach Zaidman (play-by-play) and Laurence Holmes (analyst) can be heard on WSCR 670 AM and online on BlueTube at www.depaulbluedemons.com. UIC stands at 4-5 following a 73-69 loss at Grand Canyon on Saturday. The Blue Demons are 5-3 to start the 2016-17 campaign after a 74-65 loss to Temple at the Hoophall Miami Invitational on Saturday. Head coach Dave Leitao is in his fifth season at DePaul and his second since returning to the program after leading the Blue Demons three postseasons in three years from 2002-05. Overall, the 2016-17 campaign is Leitao's 11th as a head coach at the collegiate level. UIC is led by Steve McClain who is in his second season leading the Flames.
Following Wednesday's game, DePaul opens play in the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic with home games against Chicago State and Southeast Missouri State. The Blue Demons host Chicago State on Saturday afternoon before Southeast Missouri State visits Rosemont on Monday night. The final two games of the event will be in Las Vegas at Orleans Arena on Dec. 22 and 23. DePaul opens play in Las Vegas against Wyoming before playing either Missouri State or USC. All four games will be televised on FS1.
