Blue Demons Stay Local for Next Two Spring Competitions

CHICAGO - The DePaul volleyball team travels to Notre Dame and Northwestern over the next two weekends to continue their spring competition schedule. On Saturday, April 9, the Blue Demons face Notre Dame and follow with Northwestern on Saturday, April 16.
DePaul heads to Mother McAuley High School in Chicago to face the Fighting Irish in a scrimmage set to start at 3 p.m. CT. This scrimmage is open to the public and is free to attend. The teams will score a best three out of five sequence, but will play all five sets regardless of the result.
The Blue Demons return to action the next weekend in a scrimmage against Northwestern at the Welsh-Ryan Arena on the campus of Northwestern in Evanston, Ill. This scrimmage is also free to attend and open to the public. The day is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. CT with competitive drills, followed by a short break. Play between the two sides starts at 1:30 p.m. CT and is a best three out of five setup.
The meeting with Notre Dame is the second weekend of spring competition for the Blue Demons. On April 2, DePaul traveled to Northern Illinois and faced NIU, Loyola and UIC.
After the Saturday scrimmage with Northwestern, the Blue Demons head to Purdue on April 23 to play Purdue, Ball State and IPFW.
