Cross Country Travels to National Catholic Championships

CHICAGO - The DePaul cross country team travels Notre Dame, Ind. for the National Catholic Championships on Friday, Sept. 16th. DePaul takes part in three separate races as part of a busy Friday that features 41 schools competing at Burke Golf Course.
The first race of the day begins at 2:30 p.m. CT with the JV race. The women's 5k race follows afterwards at 3:15 p.m. CT and the men's five mile race is set for a 4 p.m. CT start.
Last year, Paige Skorseth led the women's team by placing 30th with a time of 18:35.8. Courtney Tedeschi followed with an 18:40.8 and 38th place. The duo returns to the course on Friday. Skorseth has recorded top team finishes in the last two races for the Blue Demons.
On the men's side last year, Chris Korabik, Alex Campanella and Daniel Peterson remained together as a trio and each earned top-60 finishes. Korabik had the top Blue Demon finish in 49th and a time of 26:13.4. All three run in Friday's men's five mile race.
Other Blue Demons competing for the women include Lauren Sharp, Jessica Harris, Batya Beard, Courtney Pickering and Sabrina Olsen.
For the men, Jeremy Lozano, Jake Pecorin, James Ryan and Salomon Wright are set to run, rounding out DePaul's seven runners.
In the JV race, Joe Atria, Noah Deck, Sergio Llanes and Steve McEvilly represent the Blue Demons.
