Megally Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll Monday

CHICAGO ââ'¬" After a productive week, Blue Demon senior Simon Megally was named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll on Monday.
In a 2-1 victory over rival Northwestern last Wednesday in Evanston, Megally scored the first goal and then teamed with Jake Scheper to set up Zach El-Shafei with the winning goal.
Megally had an assist on Erik Rodriguez's goal in last Saturday's 4-1 loss to Creighton at Wish Field.
The midfielder from Maine South leads DePaul (5-3-2) with five goals and four assists for 14 points. He is also tops in shots with 20 and shots on goal at 11.
The Blue Demon attack continues to rank among the leaders nationally. According to NCAA statistics released on Monday, DePaul is No. 4 in the country in assists, No. 7 in points and No. 8 in goals.
Individually, junior Quentin Low is No. 4 in the nation in goalkeeper minutes. Megally is No. 19 in total points, tied at No. 29 with teammate Hans Wustling in assists and is No. 32 in goals.
The Blue Demons will train all week in preparation for Saturday's BIG EAST matchup at Villanova.
